{DIY Fabric Journals}
{DIY Fabric Journal with Tobi from SquishStyle}
I was SO ecstatic that my good friend, and also SquishStyle blogger extraordinaire Tobi, was in OC for New Year's weekend. On her way back up to nor cal, she stopped by and we made fabric covered journals inspired by A Beautiful Mess.
It was a fun and easy way for us to get CRAFTY by making something that we can use for the NEW YEAR, and most importantly, catch up with each other! I am definitely using one of my journals for documenting the progress of my new year's resolutions, and the other for random thoughts and ideas! These also make a great personalized gifts.

1. After ironing your fabric, lay it flat (backside facing up) and place your notebook on top so that the covers are laying flat.
Cut about 1inch around the notebook.
2. Lay the cut fabric down (backside facing up) on a throwaway surface, and place the notebook on top.
Spray the top of the notebook, and wait 5 seconds. 3. Grab the long end of the fabric and place it on top of the notebook cover that you just sprayed.
4. Make sure to smooth out the top of the fabric after placing that piece on top of the sprayed cover by pressing firmly with both hands, from the center to the outer edges of the notebook. Flip the notebook over and repeat the last 2 Steps!
5. Take your covered notebooks and place under a heavy object for 10 minutes.
6. After 10 minutes, take your notebook and cut the excess fabric around the edges.
If you would like, sew a border around the notebooks for a special touch, and for a little extra durability.
Finish with a puffy paint design, monogram, or anything your heart desires, and your fingers can take!
Try Fabric Markers, iron-on appliques, and more; make it your own!
