Making DIY Wrap Bracelets with Leather Cord, Beads, Rhinestones and Embroidery Thread
My friend Lydia had the brilliant idea of doing a wrap bracelet DIY project from Honestly...WTF, so here's how it turned out! Here are the materials needed for the wrap bracelets(provided from Honestly...WTF):
44 inches of 1.5mm leather cord (we couldn't find 1.5mm, so we used 2.7mm)
12 inches of brass ball chain or crystal chain
58 inches of waxed linen cord (scroll down in link)
a 1/4″ brass hex nut (we used charms instead)
a pair of scissors
Our materials costed a total of $21 and we could make up to 7 single-wrap bracelets (we also purchased extra embroidery thread to made friendship bracelets later). It took us about 15 min to make one single wrap bracelet using the ball chain, and 20 min using the rhinestone chain. We were not able to find color waxed linen cord in the stores, to wrap the chains onto the leather cords, but substituted with thinner leather cord and embroidery thread! The links above provide step by step instructions on how to make the wrap bracelets, as well as online retailers that offer a selection in the materials needed to complete the project!!
So glad I got to spend time with a good friend AND make such cute accessories!
