What I Saw, Played, Ate and Drank at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa
One of my most favorite activities I look forward to each summer in OC is the OC Fair in Costa Mesa! Dana and I went to the OC Fair last Wednesday and received FREE ADMISSION( and 1 carnival ride) for bringing 5 non-perishable food items for their food drive. Every Wednesday the OC Fair offers promotion deals for free admission, this week is a children's book drive, and the following is a clothing drive! If you're planning on visiting the fair sometime this summer, take advantage of the deals throughout the week! The cost of everything can really add up at the fair, especially if you want to try food, drink and play games. So take advantage of the promo and offer deals to be able to access the fair!
The theme of the fair this year is "LET'S EAT!", and that's exactly was Dana and I did...BBQ corn on the cob, waffle fries, regular fries, beer, grilled western sausage with onions and bell peppers, margaritas, ice cream smores, and the much anticipated deep fried kool aid; which ended up being totally overrated...tasted like cherry donut holes, I would recommend sticking to the deep fried oreos! We didn't get to use our 1 free carnival ride because we were too busy eating, walking through the art exhibits, and playing a balloon dart game....which we won, but it was all well worth it!! I can't wait to go again!! The fair runs until August 14th..don't miss out!
